Entre lac et canal, la venise de l'inde

J'ai donc passé deux jours dans un environnement de palace et j'ai bien profité du luxe, du confort et de la piscine. Me voici maintenant sur le bord d'un canal a attendre un bateau bus qui me mènera en 2h30 a ma prochaine étape, Allepey. Je ne séjourne qu'une nuit à Allepey, et demain dimanche je prendrais le train a 7h qui me déposera deux heures plus tard à Varkala ou je vais enfin pouvoir défaire mon sac pour de vrai, me poser et devenir sédentaire. Je voulais initialement faire une partie de ce dernier trajet, en bateau, mais le parcours est très long par ce mode de transport et celui que je fait ce samedi serait plus pittoresque. Pour l'instant ce samedi le trajet m'a mené à la mauvaise jetée ou le bateau n'était que 3 heures plus tard. Un couple local fort rigolo m'a emmené a pied au prochain arrêt du bateau ou il y avait une baraque a frite locale qui servait du tapioca et de l'alcool de noix de coco pour 10 roupies la portion avec du choux braisé. Il a fait très chaud, j'ai beaucoup transpiré avec mon chargement, beaucoup rigolé avec ce couple et me voici sur la jetée ou une brise s'est levée et me sèche et le bateau devrait arrivé d'ici moins d'une heure.
Sinon c'est fort agréable de se retrouver dans la nature du Kerala, les oiseaux, les papillons de toutes les couleurs, les plantations, les rizières, les cocotiers et plantes tropicales et bien sur les insectes.

So this is the end of the maharaja treatment and back to a more humble status. I enjoyed my stay in luxury and quite specifically the pool.
I am now en route to Allepey my stopover tonight before settling in Varkala. I am really looking forward to unpacking everything and not having to pack again for a long time. There was a slight problem with my rickshaw driver who dropped me off at the wrong boat jetty, so I had to wait 3 hours for the boat and will be arriving later in Allepey. But this was an opportunity to meet a fun couple that were laughing all the time and lead me 2 km to the next bat stop where a shack served some food and toddy (coconut alcohol), so this made the wait more pleasant even if getting there with my full load in the soaring heat was very hard. Tomorrow I have opted for an early start and will take the train to Varkala as the boat trip is real long and should be bathing in the sea before lunchtime if all goes to plan.
